When you think of Pimp names like Bishop Don “Magic” Juan, Filmore Slim, and Virgil Fairley, you’ve got to add to the Rap Music Pimp Hall of Fame the Bay Area native Pimpin Caprice. His rap music pimpology is a vernacular and wordplay masterpiece, with more pimp game quotables than a Donald Goines book.
Pimpin Caprice belongs with San Francisco Bay Area Rap Music names like Too Short and E-40. This Richmond, California native has unleashed a consistent and entertaining catalog. The new single Lighten Up The City is set to be released on Pimpin Caprice’s independent record label Boss Hogg Entertainment on December 16, 2014.
No contradictions here. A triumphant return after Operation Guda, the last Pimpin Capice album released in 2011. With Lighten Up The City, his Holy Pimpness puts it down flawlessly and with such poise, as only a seasoned pimp can do. As the Pimp takes you through his great pimping journey, in the mind of a boss pimp, journey with him on the hunt for the prize. Can pimping be that good? For Pimpin Caprice, that’s everyday. After listening to Lighten Up The City, I'm sold. Pimpin Caprice is a gifted storyteller, enticing me through verse to start pimping and maybe move to the
Bay Area.
Lighten Up The City has a groovy, west coast delivery. The production of Stix In The Mix is not lacking the least in the traditional bay area mob music sound. Smooth, melodic and pieced up with
a bass line that defines the meaning of slapper.
If you love real street anthems and tales from the hood that ring true, you’re gonna love Lighten up The City by Pimpin Caprice. I give it... $$$$
